With ISYS:desktop 9, we've significantly broadened our capabilities, all of which are designed to enable you to better navigate, discover and act upon information that's found across your various content repositories.

Among the key additions are centralized management of your various ISYS:desktop deployments; broader refinement and mining options such as parametric and timeline refinement; e-discovery and analysis enhancements that include results flagging, de-duplication and tabbed searching; as well as added concept search capabilities such as our new intelligent query expansion. Enterprise-Ready Desktop Search

• Centralized Management. Helping save substantial time and resources, administrators can now centrally manage their ISYS:desktop search deployment across their entire base of PCs. All from a single location, administrators can deploy ISYS:desktop to multiple PCs, configure options and push them out via Group Policy.
• Revamped User Interface and Tools. Previous users of ISYS:desktop will instantly recognize the changes we made to the user interface and administration tools. From one master control panel, you can build indexes, configure options, conduct searches, navigate results and perform various actions on the information that matters most to you.
• Search Form Designer. ISYS recognizes the varying requirements employees have for search from one day to the next. Our easy-to-use Search Form Designer gives administrators the ability to custom-build query forms that address their users’ needs.

E-Discovery, Content Refinement and Mining

• Timeline Refinement Bar. ISYS now provides you with the ability to instantly refine your results using a visual histogram. Easily hone in on a specific date range using the click-and-drag sliders you’ll find above the results list. Identifying and culling discovery documents by timeframe has never been easier.
• Parametric Refinement. Through Dynamic Metadata Clustering, ISYS:desktop’s parametric refinement options enable you to drill down on document sets with ease. ISYS makes note of commonly recurring meta information in your documents and highlights this as a set of refinement categories. It could be the document’s author, an email’s sender or a case number. By expanding the refinement cues we offer, we help you find your information fast.
• Review Flags. Customers in the legal and e-discovery markets or those needing to conduct pure research will benefit from our new Review Flags. Now users can flag results and perform actions on just those results. Once flagged, you can copy results, print them or extract, not to mention employ any number of custom built macros that help take users beyond search.
• De-Duplication. Helping organizations overcome the difficulty of navigating through results lists comprised of duplicate documents, ISYS:desktop now automatically identifies identical documents and either removes them from the results list or visually marks them.
• Intelligent Query Expansion. Designed to give users greater context and avenues to pursue, ISYS offers intelligent search suggestions based on your query and the document set. For example, a search for "SharePoint" might suggest "advanced SharePoint search" or "SharePoint search web part."
• Tabbed Searching. Need to analyze multiple queries side by side? Open new search tabs and you can compare various results with ease, all from within a single ISYS:desktop window.

• Broader Content Support. ISYS continues to add to its library of connectors, with ISYS:desktop 9 now offering the ability to connect to and index Documentum content. Additionally, organizations finally making the move to Microsoft Office 2007 will benefit from our ability to work seamlessly with the latest Office formats.
• Increased Maximum Index Size. ISYS has made dramatic increases in its maximum index size, with Version 9 now offering a max index size of 384GB (up from 24GB in previous versions). This gives users the ability to index as much as 2 TB to 4TB of data per index.
